How Commissions Work
An art commission is a custom collaboration between the client and the artist. Clear communication is essential, and all commissions are discussed in detail before work begins to ensure expectations, pricing, and timelines are agreed upon.
Pricing
Pricing for commissions includes:
-
Labor
-
Materials
-
Size and complexity
-
Time invested
Many custom projects are priced similarly to existing shop items. However, specialized elements—such as carvings, wood burning, custom finishes, paint processes, or specific wood types—may increase the final cost.

If you have budget concerns, we are happy to discuss alternative designs or material options.
Pickup &
Shipping
Free local pickup is available for clients in Monmouth County and Ocean County, New Jersey. Shipping costs for non-local orders will be quoted based on size, weight, and quantity. All furniture pieces are local pickup or meetup only in Freehold, NJ. Furniture is not available for shipping, unless a third party system is contacted.
Commission Process
1 / Initial Inquiry
Reach out with your project idea. The artist will review the request and provide initial details regarding feasibility, pricing, and timeline.
2 / Design Discussion
You and the artist will finalize project details, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and any specific design elements.
3 / Deposit
Once a price is agreed upon, a 50% [small items] or 30% [furniture] non-refundable deposit is required before work begins.
4 / Creation & Updates
During the build process, progress photos and updates will be shared. Minor adjustments may be made when possible. Quality and longevity are always prioritized over speed.
5 / Completion and Pick Up
When the piece is finished, you will be notified and pickup or delivery arrangements will be made.

Leave us a message and we'll get back to you.
